I did a day last year at the Ron Haslam Race School at Donnington Park.. thoroughly recommend it to all riders..

You will learn such a lot about handling a bike at speed.. was raining quite badly on my day but amazingly still managed to get the bike cranked over and knee (nearly down)
Best of it all you use their bikes, helmet and leathers.. expert instructors (one instructor to two students on the "Premier" course) using CBR600RR bikes. Great fun and a great day out too
You will also get to meet the great "Rocket Ron" himself (who is a really nice top bloke)
worth every penny! improve your road riding too..
(I am going back in June this year to do the "Elite" course (one to one instruction on a CBR1000RR Fireblade) cant wait..

I've also been to Rons' race school. It Pi$$ed down!

I'd do it again, but would probably stick to the 600RR, especially in the wet, as it was too easy to spin up the rear as it was...

Amazing how quick you can really go in the wet

I also allowed myself the luxury of going into "Smug mode", as the other guy riding with me dropped off so far he had to be picked up by the spare instructor
