I took him several items many weeks ago, all of which were no problem and they would be done next week (it would take him a day) (ding a ling a ling (alarm bells)).
He wouldn't take my phone number and wouldn't write down all that needed doing (he could remember OK) (ding a ling a ling).
So I was having to ring him or call in if passing, his ansaphone is simply the sound of someone lifting the handset and dropping it on the base, whe he does answer he never says 'Serco' or even his name, simply 'hello?'.
So since then I have had fob offs, stories and downright lies, I have even rung him when is 'actually doing my stuff as we speak' on a couple of occasions.
About a fortnight ago they would be ready Monday, rang Monday, 'had a problem will be Weds, Friday at the latest', I called in on the Weds, 'everything except the exhaust pipe is done, I said it would be Friday', 'OK can I take what's done so I can get on with doing something?', 'sorry' I don't actually do them here they are off being laser cut', and he was obviously keeping me out of the workshop for some reason (ding a ling a ling).
Rang on the Friday, 'yep, will be ready at 5:00 today', unable to call in on Friday and knowing I would be in that area this week I arranged to call and get them midweek repaired or not, 'what time?', 'it will be just after dinnertime', I foolishy informed him.
Turn up at the appointed time and he's out.
Friday, I turn up unannounced, he's playing with a bike outside and several times says 'be with you in a moment' after about half an hour we go to the workshop and there are some of my things obviously untouched, I ask for the rest which it turns out are elsewhere (being laser cut?), 'they'll be ready tomorrow', 'no, sorry I told you I was coming to collect done or not'.
I have to go to this other chap's place to retrieve my parts some of which are the only things to have received any attention (hand sawn and not by Serco) which I duly pay for.
It's not so much the fact that he blatantly hasn't done anything in the 5 weeks but all the downright lies and deceit that came with it, I'm not the quickest person in the world but even I can spot a fob off when I hear one.
