The Honda Owners Club

I went to HG in Taunton on thursday 14th Aug. spent £450.00 asked for a discount and was told that not even the staff get a discount anymore. bought the stuff anyway as couldn't find it elsewhere on the day.

Great idea! I also heard at the weekend that Carol Nash don't give a discount - Al if you have time to do it, I think it would be good to update it all - we could then let Tim know and get it all up to date.

When I first started using Carol Nash for classic insurance about 12 years ago it was a requirement that you belong to an owners club. For a few years afterwards they asked that you ticked the box but then it stopped and no mention of owners club membership seems to be required now.

It would be nice to know definitely if a discount was available though.

This has just reminded me... Was chatting to ourlocal HG shop and they said if you have a HG points card apparently you need to use the points before September because they are stopping that too.

Might it be worth saying that , when visiting a dealer offering the disscount allowed in the magazine. Take a copy along with you when going , if there not offering the agreed disscount as stated then show them the magazine .If they still fail to offer the aggreed disscount ask to speak to the manager and get there opinion on the matter. . If you still get no joy ask for his name and then report it back to the appointed person who delegated the aggreed disscount in the first place.

Maybe then a a list of dealers could be listed on the site as Good Or Not SO good A dealers.
