National Rally 2008

Date and Venue confirmed for The National 2008.

Sea View [ Haven Site] Weymouth Friday 19th to Monday 22nd September.

Prices to be confirmed. All info will be posted on the site as soon as I receive it and booking forms to be included in the Golden Wing.

Finally this is YOUR National and I am looking to include your ideas. Also the members of other branches who offered their help I am sure we will be contacting you in the future.

We'll be there, hoping to stay on for another few days as its a long way to go..... cant wait...

Think I'm booking the whole week off but again Have to return on sunday as wife can't book monday. So might see you down there not sure if we riding part way stopping night somewhere then doing rest sort of stages yet thou.

Wish we could be there but once again it's slap in the middle of our holiday........ until last year it was the weekend before which was ok for us then it got moved and now we have no chance

Who has moved what dates?

The Honda Owners Club National Rally has been on or about the third weekend of September for over a decade. I know this as I have just looked back through my old copes of Golden Wing. There was only one at Bainland which had to be on the second weekend to avoid a clash at the site.

So cant you move your holidays? It would be nice to see you there in Weymouth.

We will be there, Friday till Monday, cant wait.

Well the dates suite me because it will drop on my long weekend off work so I won't have to shoot off again to drag trailers around the depot all night... Even if they have just given me a brand new tug, I'll be there

As you might be aware HOC was unable to get a great offer from Sun View Site, but as I have just been taken on full time at a DHL depot instead of agency. I have recieived the benefits book .

Inside this book any DHL employee is able to gain a 50% discount in September off haven sites. Unfortunatly you can only book 1 caravan for each employee number i believe, but if anyone out there does work for DHL / Exel.

Makes sure you get your discount.

I'll check my asda discount book out... just as soon as I find out where I put it last

So for the rest of us who don't get a discount how much will it cost...? Or are you looking for an alternative venue?

If they are going to be unyielding on cost - are they going to be difficult on anything else you want... like separate room etc for HOC'ers only ? It amazes me that these places totally underestimate the numbers involved...... and just how much income the rally generates! Silly people...

Just to clarify we are getting a discounted price and an extended booking time frame. The only way we could get the bigger discount is for everyone to stump up the total cash price on the day of booking. That only if we book now.

That would require total committment by everyone now and that just does not happen. So we have the next best deal.

The site is a very popular one that can sell its plots several times over so yes they can afford to not have us. Thats why we need everyone to respond to Heather when the advert comes out shortly. Then to get their booking to Haven. Not dither about like they normally do.

Sorry if my comment above caused confusion I meant that we where unable to get a great offer like they one Blue Dolpin gave us not that there was no discount.

I was just trying to make other DHL, Exel or even maybe Asda, Tesco etc employees to check there Benefits book before booking as they might be able to get a special discount as 50% off from DHL employees would bring the event inline with the Blue Dolphin Deal.

Going Fast

The caravans that is. Just booked ours on Sunday and they were getting low in numbers.

For the best rates pay full amount at time of booking gets the biggest discount. If you don't mind being scattered about the site individual bookings are cheaper. Camping likewise. Just please tell us if you are going then we know how many are going to be there even if Haven do not.
