Paul,

That's my long weekend off work so no problem but if the date changes, can you let me know ASAP because I'll need to arrange time off work

Goomi please explain 'sponsor forms' aspect. I hate sponsored events as there are too many and so few people to ask each time. Surely an egg run is bring along an egg or two?

Trouble is if everyone turns up with Easter eggs the little beggers will suffer "Death by Choclate."

To date the Three Shires membership have raised over £21,000 for the Sheffield Children's Hospital.

This is my first Egg Run so it's work in progress Basically the Three SHires get sponser sheets and bug there friends, families andwork mates to give some money to the Hospital.

Other riders turn up on the day and hand over money or eggs to the hospital. o if you are riding up from say Oxford for the day just get the branch to put there hand in there pocket and hond the money over to ME !!!! or any Three Shies member to go with the sponser sheet.

But we are more than happy if you just make the effort to turn up on the day. I'v spoken to MCN an Motorcycle mnthly and they are instreseted in running an article on it and if I push them the right way maybe a small donation also.

I think it’s the term “Sponsor Form” that confuses a little as it implies we’ll be doing something over a period of time or length of distance to raise funds, which is not the case unless someone does want to do something like that.

What I did last year was collect money from friends, family and work mates. The forms we used enabled each person who contributed to complete their details and allow the charity to reclaim tax. In effect this meant every £1 collected was worth £1.28 to the Sheffield Childern’s Hospital charity.

For further details you check out the Three Shires website at http://www.threeshires.hoc.org.uk/ or for details of my blog of last years Egg Run (and other events at http://www.travelblog.org/Bloggers/Johnny-Boy/

Sorry lads nearly 2 inches of snow here in Kettering was the final decision maker for me. Then seeing that even more snow was further north was not risking 200+ mile round trip.

How did it go and did JT turn out in the cold?
