Snetterton BSB Sunday 15th

Postby KnightVeffer on Mon Jun 09, 2008 11:52 pm

Anybody heading off to Snetterton on Sunday??

Myself, Bob Dean, Richard Slater and new Worcester branch founder, Brian Capewell will be making our way there very early on Sunday morning. Will be stopping at Thrapton services at junction with A14 and A45 at roughly 08.00, for a cuppa and a fag!!

Well, they are on their way and me and a few mates are joining them there! (If we can spot 'em in the crowd! )

Sun is shining, food is packed, leathers on and off to Snetterton with 3 fab mates...... doesn't get much better than this!

Managed to meet up briefly with Andy, Bob & Richard (they were a 20 minute trek around the circuit) whilst the sun still shone. Great day, loads to see and lots of smashing folks to pass the time of day with too. Then the heavens opened and the rain came down - sadly we had to go as one of my mates had to be at work tonight and the delayed start meant we couldn't stay to watch the race. Double bummer because all the action happend where we had been stood all day!! (At the Esses)!!!

Still, we got back in one piece (although have to say that Ducati Motorsport 900's do make yer bum numb after about an hour!), and relatively dry.

So glad we went and that I got the chance to meet you guys too! (Sorry didn't get to come back with all the nosh!!) ;)

Yes it was a good day I really missed the Twirl you promised had to make do with Bobs large Toberlone

Still some good racing never been to Snetterton before would go again next year Shaky is just a class act on that Ducati bet he goes to World Supers next year to replace Baylis 8)

Sorry 'bout that  - I promise, cross me heart, fingers in eyes etc, that next time I'll bring a Twirl each for you

I'm sure that Bob's large Toblerone was sufficient to satisfy your appetites! :o0

PS Did you spot that immaculate RD400 (White with red leather seat) parked up very near the entrance to the bike park (between a silver bandit and a Ducati 900) ? It was a stonker of a bike... superb condition.

No I didn't I'm a blok remember can't see things unless it's right in front of my nose ;o)

With reference to Twirls and Tobelrone I'm more particial to Snickers, although I hear that they are thinking of changing them back to Marathon and Starburst to Opal Fruits

 hee hee, well, in fairness, there were one or two other bikes there to catch the eye ... ...

Hmm, Snickers eh... have you tried the snickers flapjacks!? OMG! They are sooooo lush!  Are you serious about the re-conversion of the brand names? Blimey - I only just got used to calling the flaming things Snickers!!

Ok, here's the deal then... next time I'll have with me Snickers (as well as my Twirl.. and as for Toblerone, we'll let Bob enjoy that! - did you know there is a honeycomb toblerone now... ? ) Oh dear... can you tell I'm a gal who likes her chocolate???

Emm, anyhow... back on topic (ish ) and no I don't mean the one with the all dancing all singing squirrel and a hazelnut in every bite!....

I watched the racing again on Tuesday night on Channel 4! Looks like all the action happened right in front of where we were stood before the deluge! What a brilliant race! How stunning is Shakey Byrne???? Well worth the matchsticks to hold eyes open yesterday! :o))

Might have to post a thread on non biking chat about chocolate as other members could start thinking we've lost the plot

But I have tried Snickers flapjacks and yes they are good if not a bit chewy

Hope you have a good day at Donington make sure you take some serious waterproofs though weather not looking too good for the weekend, Donington in the wet and wind is not fun I did it in 05 :o(

Mind you if it is wet it could just play into JT hands and he could get his podium that he said he wanted for his home race 8)

hee hee... dunno about you, but I lost the plot years ago Andy! ;o)

I hear what you're saying about Donington... might wuss it out and go in car but still wear full waterproofs for when watching the racing! It'll certainly be interesting!

I wouldn't mind playing into JT's hands! :o0

8) Ahhh James..... ;o)

But seriously... you could be right - on his home turf in front of an army of support... could just be the time he makes it to crack open that champers!! Let's hope so eh! Either way, if wet it'll make for some interesting racing!
