Run to Bath Sunday 10th August

Postby al-n-di on Sat Aug 09, 2008 3:17 pm

Although shitty today, the weather forecast is good for tomorrow and we are having a run to Bath. If anyone fancies it let me know, we will be gassing up at 09.00 at the Shell gas station on the A508 near J15 of the M1 and will probably take the easy route on the way down, so A43, M40, A34, M4 to J18. We will stop for some breakfast around half way.

Dont know what will be open on a Sunday, but we expect that there will be stuff to do as its holiday season.

Hi Al

Sounds a nice run which I would have liked to have joined at Newbury, but I 've a Golden Wedding to go to tomorrow (which was the reason why I didn't go to the Oxford rally). I really like Bath and there are plenty of places to visit there.

Hope the weather is better than today.

Regards

Chimpy

Hi mate,

Well it was a last minute thing, I hope the weather holds but we shall see, neither of us has been to Bath before, so it should be interesting!

Cheers, Al

Well, we had a lovely day, a fantastic blast down with only a few spots of rain, Bath is a lovely place, lots to see and do, with some really nice restaurants and bars, then another blast home in one go!

Took a few snaps, have a look here: http://s82.photobucket.com/albums/j274/ ... %20August/
