I'm affraid due to the limited number of Cabins and Sleeper Seat onboard the Ferry the company has a strict No Discount no Promotional offers for Cabins and Sleeper Seats.

I Must Agree with Fred thou we would most likely book a 4berth and at just £58 for basic or £80 with en-suit. it wouldn't work out that much extra if we so wished.

Thou Fred would be able to keep the offer of the Club Class Seat for the return trip if they only took the cabin one way.

On That Note if anyone is looking to go aboard this year Fred can inform you of any Special offers that are available. You can contact Fred:

0033235197863 or e-mail address lehavretourisme@ldlines.fr.

£20 a head for an en-suite cabin?

I tried one of those reclining seats once, and I've got to tell you that it would be nuts not to pay the extra.

I've got this crossing sorted, come off night shift and get a few hours sleep. Jump on the bike and ride the 231-miles from home to Portsmouth arriving in plenty of time. I'm usually close to the front of the bike que on the quayside so one of the first to board and get my bike strapped down.

Now this is where my plan tends to go a little pear shaped as I oftern drop on the biker who's never done a ferry crossing and who's stood there with the ratchet strap that the crew have just given him, wondering what to do with it or how to work it. Well I'm not the kind of guy to leave people to struggle so I'll offer my help so I get a little delayed but not a problem.

Next I'm off up into the Bar to stake my claim to a bench seat and a couple of pints before the noisy bar grows quiet and sleep follows

Hi Ryder

Postby Goomi on Tue Nov 13, 2007 8:03 pm

HI ryder yepp it's going to be fun if you send me an email I'll add you to the list of interested parties.

There is no real rush to say if you are coming or not other than there might be a price raise in ticket cost next year and hence you would need to pay a bit more.

LD Lines now have extended the Free Upgrade offer so you just have to make sure you book the right ferry and dates and times etc. We have a different Code for the discount as it is for that trip only so if you do decided to join us let us know.

the other thing to keep in mind is I'm now looking into accomodationsome are camping and others in B&B down the road so if the B&B is full you would need to camp if you left it to late.

So drop me an Email webmaster@threeshires.hoc.org.uk and I'll keep you posted

Hi Ryder, We've decided on a "cut off " date of 10th Dec for the ferry fare to be paid to me so I can make a group booking but don't worry if you can't confirm for then because Goomi and I can give you all the info you'll need to make your own booking, but remember, the longer you leave it the more harder it is to sort. Having said that you're very welcome to come along on the trip because it's looking good.

Hi Ryder,

I just looked at the map to see where you are. I think you’ve got a 120-mile ride from Southend on Sea down to Portsmouth where we’ll be sailing from. The main group from the Three Shires will be travelling down the A34 them M3 / M27 arriving in the opposite direction to you. There’ll also be others arriving away from the main group so once at the dock I will do something to my bike to identify it at the docks for the others outside the main group, maybe a flag attached to my bike. I’ll do a welcoming brief at the dock at a pre arranged time then a second brief once we have all moved forward to the quayside prior to embarking on to the ferry. When we disembark from the ferry there will be a rendezvous point within the Le Havre terminal where I will make a third brief about the initial ride into Normandy. So I hope nobody has any worries about getting lost or confused because I’m not going to let it happen.

Some will be riding solo but others like Goomi will be taking their partners,

Late Booking

Postby Johnny-Boy on Sat Nov 17, 2007 12:43 pm

Hi Al,

We’ve set a “cut off” date of 10th Dec for payment to be sent to me for the ferry crossing. Goomi’s sorting the accommodation at the moment for the people who book the ferry with me. If you can’t commit by then, don’t worry because you could make your own arrangements at a later date, (Goomi & I will advise you) and join up with us at Portsmouth.

Ok, I'll go, it will just be me as Di has no spare holiday. not sure about whether to camp or B&B but it might be fun to tent it.

It would be great to meet up with anyone travelling down the M1 to Portsmouth on the day, we live just off J15.

Can you send me details of where I send the ferry money to?

Cheers,

Al
