To honour the men and women of our armed forces, the Northants & Milton Keynes Branch are having a run to the National Arboretum http://www.thenma.org.uk on that day.
It would be nice if a few other Branches and members were to join us there and pay their respects to the living, and the dead who have given their lives for this country

I'll pass the message on and see if anyone wants to go.

I would have thought a National Armed Forces Day, would be to celebrate and give thanks to those presently serving?

From the TV advertising for the armed forces - all fun and excitement - I would have thought a more 'up-beat' event was called for What sort of event are the local British Legion organising? Perhaps you could join them.

Well, Ill be going! to spare some thoughts to a few of me friends who have departed this world! and for those still here!

Quite why we had to have another thread for this opened after the Help for Heroes day one I am not sure as they were all part and parcel of the same thing. Hey Ho.

That aside good day out. Stayed dry and saw the bands and the flags and the 40's show. All made for a good day out showing support for all the forces wherever they are.

Thanks for leading Strytch but I had an even better ride home nowhere near Tamworth.
