..Of course you can forpy!..thats the whole point,....and It will be great to meet you!..Er..you can't miss me as I will be on the 'non Honda'!! (a Triumph!!) so I expect much 'flack' from the HOC!! (all in good fun though!!..Er...I hope!!) 8)

I did a Kawasaki day at the Ace recently, and if this is anything like that, you might be asked to park your Triumph round the corner...

Do the HOC have reserved parking in the main carpark, or is it a free for all?
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.

:P Think parking is just a free for all - but we normally all congregate around the HOC display area so we should hopefully all meet up !

The weather doesn't look too good for tomorrow, hope it's better than today, the Monkey bike run was a washout.

Sorry guys, much as I wanted to go and I really did. I just cant face getting the bike out in this crappy weather, even to try out my new Hein Gerricke waterproofs!

To those stalwarts who brave the elements, have a safe ride.

Regards,

Al

Whimping out also even the decorating looks attractive in this foul weather. :(

Another day we will all get together.

:P OK OK understood - c**p day weather wise! I arrived at 10 am and no Honda truck in sight. We were followed shortly by Graham and enjoyed a lovely coffee and chat. Honda truck stuck in Scotland and they couldn't get to the ACE - don't think they were too upset! During the course of the morning (we stayed till 2.30pm) two more from North London arrived and Ron, Bill and his partner from Kent - brave couple M25 wind and rain!! - and a guy from Bracknell who is not (currently!) a member.

One or two other 'lost souls' on bikes arrived to make the total number of bikes there around 20 but they were mostly from the VTX club.

Oh well, no great increase in membership numbers today, better luck next time.

Had an incling that Honda would not be there after a conversation last weekend at BMF. Ace did not actually ask Honda about doing the day just told them it was happening and so tried to make them obliged to turn up.

Personally I think this event has been a 'limp lettuce' in concept and after three or more years has had its time.

Well done Erica for even getting there and thanks for your efforts.

Well done Erica for flying the flag, I'm sure if the weather had been a bit better you would have had more support from all us fair weather whimps. I very nearly got a bike out of the garage three times this morning but the rain seem to start up again every time I went out the front door. As I do not possess any wey weather gear and none of my bikes offer any protection against the elements it was going to be a non starter.

It would be a great shame if this event fell by the wayside though. What needs to be done to make it a success? (apart from the weather). I've been to many events at the Ace where you can't get near the place with several hundred bikes in attendance including one make days.

There is absolutely nothing needed to make this a good event, except dry weather, I went to the last one and there was plenty of support with large numbers of Hondas there.
