The Almax Security Chains are available in two versions and different lengths. I have a Series III Immobiliser Chain and Squire SS65CS Stronghold Lock. The chain itself features 16mm squarish links, is bolt cutter and hacksaw proof and the Squire lock has a CEN rating of 6, the highest available, and has not been specifically designed for bikes. It's just a very high security closed shackle padlock. The chain features a long link design so you can pull the chain tight leaving little to none on the ground (best for security). Again due to the long link design more than one chain can be secured with one lock. The chain has good plating to prevent corrosion and a tough nylon cover to protect your bike.
The Chains are Thatcham Approved and the Padlocks are Sold Secure Gold, most insurance companies recognise these approvals and adjust premiums accordingly. In my opinion these really are the best security chains on the market with the only downside being they are of course a little heavy. I think the weight penalty is a small price to pay for the increased security though.
