Here's an up-date ,

the cracking was in fact corrosion and is shown below along with my repair .It was disconcerting to find out that what I thought was just a strengthening plate is in fact the main Swingarm cross rail connecting left and right arm tubes!! I am so glad I repaired it .Bump steer
is bad enough on 4 wheels -- could be disastrous on 2!

Does anyone know where I can buy another set of these early (benly ?) Honda wing decals I fitted them to the side panels of the 250 and would like to use a similar layout on the 400.they are quite small about 40mm long and are not to be confused with the later, larger wing tank decals. I originally sourced them on Ebay and thought they were just churned out,but apparantly not. Someone rebuilding an early Honda will be cursing me no doubt!.

I have found the original supplier of my decals on Ebay so I can get some for the 400

I like this early Honda Wing design but I cannot find the CB250N or CB400N logo anywhere
In the mean time I have experimented with printiing my own version on vinyl using available windows fonts and then sticking an extra clear layer on top (it might do until I locate some proper logos.

Try Sunrise Graphics:
http://www.sunrisegraphics.co.uk/index.html

He does CB250/400N sidepanel decals like you want.
He's recommended, a VJMC member too, and is often at 'Classic' bike shows.

With all that yellow, you'll have to call it something like the "Flying Banana" or the "Custard Express" !

Looks OK though! ;o)

Yes it's just as garish as the 250 despite the slightly better looking reverse comstars. Its saving grace is --- I might be able to spot it in a field of bikes at a race meeting car park!.

I believe the "moniker" flying banana was used on one of the FF creations a few years ago.

I reckon the "Wasp" would be more appropriate, after all, it almost had a nasty sting in its tail!
but then again,I've removed all the stripes.

Thanks for taking an interest.
