Mix and match lumps.

Can anyone tell me if i can put a CM 250 engine in a CD 185? I have a motor without a bike, and have been offered a bike without a motor.

Hey guys, thanks for your overwhelming response to my problem. (Just kiddin', i know what an obscure question it was).

Anyway, i got the answer i was looking for; my cm motor will go quite snuggly into a cd frame. I want to do something a bit different with it though, but i am not sure what. So i wonder, can anyone suggest anything i can do to make my bike stand out so it isnt just another non descript little Honda. Bear in mind that i am a bit green but just want to have a go. Also are there any recomendations as to where i can get new parts for old bikes. I've herd Dave Silver is the best old Honda man, but somewhere in the Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales area would suit me better.

Thanks in advance, Iain.

Hi Iain,

Given unlimited time, money and patience, anything can be made to fit anything.

Assuming the 'CM 250' of which you write is the Superdream descendant, and given limited time, money or patience, I don't believe so. The CD and Superdream are different development lines, so you'll find things like different engine mountings and shorter frame vertically.

However, I'd be pleased to be proved wrong.

Hth.

Stuart

How to ride a 700c bike out of a hill? I'm use to riding 26" bikes and this is my first 700c bike. One thing I like to do with a 26" bike when I come out of a hill is keep the speed. So, I will change the gear and start to pedal to get speed. I try doing this with my 700c bike and it doesn't work. Now , I understand that I have less of a rotation with the 700c bikes, but how do I maintain speed when coming out of the hill? Any suggestions?

Er, pardon? :o?

Not only are you on the wrong thread, it sounds as if you are on completely the wrong Forum.

700c, 26" bikes, pedals...........??? Are you talking about a Motorcycle, or even a Honda ?

So, one very peculiar posting, no re-post to clarify what they're on about, and then edited with a load of iffy-looking links.
