Not being a member of the HOC, I thought I would miss out on the jolly atmosphere of the HOC stand, as all the members gathered at the stand, drinking tea and eating bacon sandwiches. ;o)
I needn't had worried. With Graham standing on guard, there was not much 'jolly'. :o?

I did stop at the stand and have look through a Golden Wing - the young lady 'on duty' obviously recognized my yellow braces and took the suggestion in my previous post and ignored me. ;o)

The 'Monkey Bikes' were fun, they certainly bought a smile to peoples faces. :o))

Alan and 'Gazza' braved the yellow braces and said hello :o)

Barry, it indeed was a shame and a great loss to us all that you didn't announce your presence on the HOC stand  . You could have had a go on my Monkey Bike.

I think you must have mistaken the HOC stand for another as not a single bacon sandwich was eaten on it (we all went inside for breakfasts ;o) )

Were you the person that asked the young lady "What do you know about Hondas?" A very leading question with a predictable answer?

Maybe next time?

It was a very worthwhile event for the HOC, signing up several new members on the day with many more taking away information with a view to joining. Hopefully West London will have a good influx of members and also North London and Reading should benefit as well.

Regards

Chimpy

Great Day

Could not have wished for better weather. Great run down and well worth the trip, even go home in time for a BBQ.

Regards to all.

Nice set of pics Chimpy. The owner of that NR750 really has to try harder. Those 'chicken strips' are HUGE  !
(Well, it must have cost a few bob, eh? There's being careful, but he must be paranoid.) So, who's that sat on the Kwak, then? ;o)

The NR had obviously been sitting around a long time as it was on a 52 plate. I didn't check the mileage but I bet it was low. I don't think I would be testing it's limits if it was mine though ;o)

The Kwak rider is Jude Brown, from the West London Branch. Jude was the PR officer for HOC for many years.

But I suppose at least it's being used. I expect most have barely been used, if at all. I wonder how many are actually 'ready for the road' in whatever countries they're in?

Looks like you all had a good day.

I had every intention of dropping in, but the NS developed a bit of an oil leak....

Some great pictures there Chimpy. The VF1000R looked very tidy.

I remember the NR launch at the NEC. It was drop dead gorgeous!

Some how, it looks really dated now.

Strange really, as I'm sure it was released the same year as the NC30 became an official UK bike, and they still look the business...

I wouldn't say no to one though..
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.

It was a shame you didn't make it Mark. Hope to see you again soon.
