Hadn't you better think about leaving home now, if you are going on the Sunday ride out? ;o) Including the ride out, you'll be having a long trip, the best part of 500 miles!

Hmm I didn't check out where it was before writing  I just thought it can't be too far from the Welsh Border....which it isn't really ..... but its 174 miles just to get there from where we live by the shortest route. and around 3 and a half hours to get there. ... not too far for a day ride even to return same day .... but with a ride out on top ... well not really 8)

Any way I have to go up to North Wales on Sunday now to pick up a spare CB750KZ Tank (I wont have to take my bike off the road whilst re-spraying one) ;o)

I went along to the rally to join in the Sunday ride out (but almost a 100-mile round trip to do so  ). A great ride with a friendly bunch of lads and lasses, touring around Wiltshire, Dorset and Hampshire, over some quite varied and enjoyable roads, with the usual coffee/lunch/tea stops en route. Weather was dry, not over-warm, but fine for biking. Eighteen bikes, I believe, took part, over about 140 miles. I expect there will be further reports here from others when they get home on Monday............

I've been studying my OS maps to try and work out exactly where we went on the ride out (we weren't given a route card), and it was certainly an interesting route!

I did Friday night to Sunday, what a great bunch the Wilts lot are. A fantastic ride out Saturday at over 130 miles, well organised and planned. My thanks to all concerned.

I would echo Red V Four and jimmyb's comments. A very well organised rally with lots of interesting places to visit on the ride outs. Great company in the evenings with lots of fun and banter which is what it's all about.

Thanks to the Wiltshire Branch for putting on such a great weekend.

Regards

Yep! Echo the above great weekend and I got home with dry camping kit so pleased about that too. Did the Saturday ride out with 20 something bikes and nearly 30 people travelling along pleasantly twisting roads through fantastic scenery. Spent Sunday doing something I do not get to do if I am at home and that is very little just sit about and chill out.

There were guys on 125's who had only been riding a few months who came along on Saturday and enjoyed it enough to bring a mate back on the Monday for the rideout.

The family from Leicestershire who came along to their first HOC event thoroughly enjoyed it and will be doing many more I am sure.

The 50+ people enjoyed BBQ on Saturday night and the pub did lovely breakfasts and evening meals. Any non campers were made most welcome in the pub's B&B.

I am sure if you want a copy of the route that Theo and his team can provide you with such as I know he did print some maps but 'mislaid' them.

Well done Wiltshire branch great rally to start the summer season off.

Better late than never to add our thanks to the Wiltshire Branch for another cracking rally. Although we didn't camp we did have a very nice B&B at the pub - can recommend it to anyone! We did walkouts rather than rideouts cos I had enough trouble getting him there on his bike never mind adding to it  and then I wasn't well over the weekend But we still had a lovely time.

Ride safe,

Annee
