I had a test ride on the CB1000R at Gaydon on Sunday. Went very well, and steered much more quickly than the Viffer, but then it is much more powerful and a different kind of bike. The brakes were pretty powerful too. Wish my bike's were that good! Not that I needed to use them hard, I just tried them out. Got it up to the "ton" (we used a private road on part of the test route, honest, Dibble ;o) ) and it felt strange going that fast again on a "naked" with no fairing. If I wasn't so happy with the Viffer, I would certainly consider one, as it was much more fun to ride! Also, it's got the single-sided swingarm, which rather attracted me to it, just like the Viffer. I think this will be a strong seller for Honda.

I use Brinkster for a free 3 pg site, that has a web builder. If your type business isn't on their list of choices they don't have specific product meta tags that they install FOR you which is what the SEO factors are comprised of.I can do "limited" things by proving keywords. Are there any ways to get people/customers besides the obvious.Bloging it and url submissions ?

And back to the original posting.

I also considered the CB100R but eventually went for a CB1300. Same price, but I preferred the seating position (more upright) and seat height (lower for me is better). It also came with a 1/2 fairing which, as it turns out is not that good with the standard screen, but does mean I don't ride at silly speeds all the time :)

Hello Alan.
Sorry to "hi-jack" thread, but am thinking of chopping my 07 blade for a cb1300 (naked version) so my wife came come out to play more.
How've you got on with yours / what d'you reckon - good bit of kit?

Have been trawling the net for "bling" - most stuff is easy to find (rad covers, renthal bars, crash bungs, cans etc to "streetfighter" it up a bit), but decent huggers (white) and small fly screens see rarer. Any ideas / recommendations on any of these fronts?

Hope ok and hope you're enjoying yours.
Cheers,

Hedge.

I test rode a CB1300 with the fairing but im 6 foot 1 and i thought the fairing was a waist of time i have a small headlight one on my CB1000 which does a far better job.... mind with a bigger screen would be better..

Having riden the CB1000R on a couple of occasions now I didn't have any problems with wind blast. The CBF1000 that I rode on the same day was much worse and the wind really put me off it. Apparently it is easily cured with a different screen so why is it not supplied with one that works?

I really liked the CB1000R and so did one of my branch members so much that he has now traded in his CBF1000 for one. My take on it is it's like a big monkey bike to ride. It turns very quickly, lifts the front wheel very easily and is a fantastic back road tool.

Chimpy
You hum it son, I'll play it!

They dont put them so you will buy them, i dont have a prob with wind blast but like the look of the screen..... but it would cost nothing for them to put a bigger screen on in the first place...

I love it. I put a taller screen on and that cured the problem. It's excellent and I ride it any time I can (the FJR is strictly for multi-day rides now).

I got my hugger from Skidmarx - fits well and looks the biz. No idea on fly screen, but try the same place.
