:o)) Hi all, if you are going to Belgium - do stay a night or more at The Loft ( ww.grd.be) - between Ghent and Bruge. It is two warehouses, one has rooms around the edge and you park your bikes in the middle, the second is a bar, lounge and cooking facilities and is run by Ivan who is great. Have a look at the Oxford web site Belgium trip pictures (http://www.oxford.hoc.org.uk) for an idea of how good it is.

I stayed there a couple of years ago and was billeted in an open area on camp beds, bloody uncomfortable and the snoring of the other inmates was chronic. (I snore too  ) I paid the same as those with rooms too. The countryside around there is so flat and the roads were boring in my opinion. Constant rain didn't enhance my enjoyment of the weekend though I couldn't blame Ivan for that.

Gosh what a different experience! We pre booked rooms and had a fantastic time! Weather was also great and places like Brugge, Ypres and the war memorials made it for us - despite the flat roads! :P
