Are these new Moto GP riders just Divas in Leathers?

Are these new Moto GP riders just Divas in Leathers?

After the previous weeks toraide of abuse from Dovizioso about JT's aggresive racing style, is Haydon going to accuse him of the same?

There's a famous saying ' People in glasshouses shouldn't throw stones'

As JT has continued to say that he is paid to race not just go for a Sunday afternoon ride 8)

Stoner is another one after Leguna Seca when Rossi gave him a proper race he went crying to his pit like a spoilt kid saying that Rossi was too aggresive :o0 Yes granted his undertaking Stoner on the 'Corkscrew' was abit risky and could have taken them both out, but That's why Rossi is now on his 7th world championship, because he is prepared to take a few risks and not just ride the best/fastest bike I believe it's mostly pure talent he's done it on an Aprillia, Honda and now again on the Yamaha you can't tell me that's blind luck

JT is a hard racer, but at least he gives it 110% and prepared to take a few calculated risks and as yet not injured any body else in the process. ;o)

I think MotoGP is in danger of becoming too much like F1, there all primo donas in that sport and don't even get me started on footballers

You seem to be confusing motorcycle and car racing along with football with normal jobs
These pastimes start out as hobbies - along with amateur dramatics - where the participants pay for the pleasure of participation, often as a member of a club or society. Any moneys raised by these activities is plowed back into the club or society.

Whilst most of the participants continue as amateurs, but there is always a few - those with extraordinary skill, aptitude, presence, personality, etc.- who move on to become professionals. Then, regardless of the activity, they enter the entertainment profession - people pay to watch them perform.

These performers do not put themselves on pedestals, the paying public put them there, along with the media.

The reported antics of these people, their life style, weddings, divorces, rows, etc., is good copy for the media - it does sell newspapers and TV time. They cease to be individuals and become a commodity. They are bought and sold. Much of their lives is controlled by those holding their contracts. If a row between two people will be good for business - a row is arranged.

Your reaction to events is just what was hopped for. The promoter of events wants the paying public to be partisan. Heroes and villains are good for business. ;o)

Thanks Barry for your thought of the day, but without a doubt these guys have a talent that put's them on the pedestal and for sure it is us, the paying public, that like to be entertained.
It's just a shame that they have to hide there own short comings by blaming anything or anybody else rather than just taking the knocks that are delivered to them.

For example: Stoner all last year was leading the title for MotoGP with win after win without a hint of this so called injury to his wrist. At the start of the season he was confident of winning the title again, but as soon as he loses a couple of races he suddenly has this injury and that was causing him some problems and that this injury has been around for nearly 3 years.
I put it to you that his only problem he is experiencing this year, is that Rossi Guy and Stoners own mind set that he should win the title again and not the Italian

Mansell also had the same issues with Prost who thought that Nigel was a dangerous driver and should stop racing like 'a man possesed' I remember that many a time Prost would nearly always find an excuse to stop racing when ever it rained and he wasn't in the lead and he had the same issues with Senna too.

I won't talk about Footy as I don't know enough about it to comment properly

:o( I reckon whenever money is involved, sponsors and riders are chopped for not performing, then they start to blame others. Watching the likes of Haga riding and Chris Walker, when he had a decent bike, was so entertaining and long may riding like that continue. No one should ride dangerously but a bit of aggressive riding should be expected and, like the old saying, if you don't like the game, get out of the ball park :P
