Have you seen that the new test has been postponed for 6 months. It is now official, they could not get the test centres sorted on time looks like. Postponed till March 30th.

Motorcycle Test Changes (2DLD) - NOW DELAYED
The Driving Standards Agency (DSA) announced on 11 September 2008, a delay of six months to the introduction of the new practical motorcycle test, originally scheduled for 29 September 2008. The move came after the Agency considered representations from the Motorcycle Industry Association (MCIA), the Motorcycle Rider Training Association (MRTA) and other motorcycle interests. The new implementation date will now be Monday 30 March 2009. The decision to defer implementation will allow the DSA to carry on delivering motorcycle tests from a wider range of centres whilst working with motorcycle groups and to find a suitable solution for providing the new test service in problem locations.

Well I don't know how true this is but I'm led to believe that one of the manoeuvres is too hard for some of the examiners to complete…

…Well if that’s the case then I’m sure the new test is just there to stop the number of bikers growing.

My son take his re-test next Tuesday, all been well, I’ll be taking out for a run the weekend after next.
