Brighton ACE day.

Brighton ACE day.

Postby Barry on Mon Sep 15, 2008 9:16 am

Who ever said traders will not turn up for one day events?

I hope they were at Brighton on Sunday! It was hot, heaving with visitors, thousands of interesting bikes to look at, a 'rocking' band, plenty of trade and club stands, in fact a real MEGA event. A great day out - for free! :o)

Blimey - I'd have been surprised if they hadn't Barry - approx how many thousands of bikers on all different marques from all over the world turned up ?? If I were a trader I'd 've turned up too!! They probably made enough to keep them going through the winter months in just one lovely sunshine filled day at the seaside with an audience of probably 100k + By all accounts it was a stonking day with everything going superbly. I'm glad you got to go to it and enjoy it all.

A commercial venture organised by a commercial group open to every maker and make of bike under the sun. Held in a region of Britain which is most densly populated area of the country. Of course companies will go along most of them are from areas nearby. With the likley hood of sales even if the bikers did not come as it is one of the most popular Sunday places to visit in Britain.

Advertised to every individual who visited the ACE in past 12 months whether club member or not. Add to that it was a culmination event as opposed to a one day eventon stand alone basis.

Then to cap it all on a day when the forecast was sunshine and it did.

Like to have seen what would have happened in forecast rain that we had. But then like you Barry I would not have bothered going.
