Race for Life

Postby Stritchy on Mon May 12, 2008 7:10 am

As many of you know, the Race for Life is a 5km run in aid of Cancer Research UK.

This year Ruth (HOC Treasurer) is planning to run the entire route, she walked it last year.
She'll be running in Milton Keynes on Saturday 31st May. She would have done the Bedford run (which starts 100m from our door!) but it clashes with the HOC Roast :x
It's not a great length, but she's never been able to run, so this will be an achievement for her - she's been training all year :o0

If any of you would like to sponsor her and donate money to this great cause, please go to http://www.raceforlifesponsorme.org/ruthwingrove

The Northants & MK Branch have been very generous, donating in person on the Club nights.
Please don't feel obliged or brow-beaten, we can't donate to every good cause and won't be offended.

Thanks :o))

Thanks So much guys, well chuffed :o))

Have to admit when I got there wanted to go straight home again. They have hills in Milton Keynes  we don't have them in Bedford. But I did manage to run most of the way and I am really pleased with myself.

Thanks to everyone who has sponsored me I have manage to raise around £330 so far.
