With the current topic of dish cloths in microwaves, I thought this would be an ideal time to use this emoticon

You may remember the famous case in the USA when microwave ovens were first launched. :)

..A women successfully sued the manufacturer after attempting to dry her poodle in it after it had been washed!!..Of course the inevitable happened but the case revolved around the fact that no where in the instructions did it suggest that drying live animals in it would be a bad idea!!

..It could only have happened it the USA!!!
Who Cares if it aint Broke!!..Fix it Anyway!!

Mmm, but I get the impression it's getting closer to our shores by the day.

Trouble is I'm not sure if we're breeding stupidity, or lawyers are getting better.

Or more likely both.

Would that be the clever/dumb balance then?
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.

I got taught a neat little trick with a microwave years ago:

Put a lightbulb in a small glass filled with enough tap water to cover the contacts at the base. Place the glass in the microwave and turn on a full power then watch the effects!

My aunt taught me this one - she used to work in Boots Cookshop (remember those?) and this was something they used to do to demonstrate that microwaves were safe.

Ok, how many of you tried this as I'm scared to do it and would love to know the effects! 8)
