 I didn't mean it the way it read about the eggs... it was a kind of continuation about the comment regarding Ikea...

I won't be having a single choccie egg either  I want to get some new leathers in the summer so no way are Cadbury's tempt me... nor Lindt... nor Thorntons.... nor... ... ...

Just been reading the whole of this topic and must agree with Skipper. Too many people expect too much these days. No-one forces anyone into any job, everyone chooses what they do in life whether work or play related. As for me I never have a day off. My job is very time consuming. I work at least 18 hours a day. Am on call 24/7 every day.
What do I do???
Easy I am a mum.
What am I doing on line right now?
Having a much deserved coffee after being up since 7am, taking 2 kids to school, 1 to work, home in time to receive the 2 grand daughters, emptied and reloaded dishwasher, done 2 loads of washing, walked the dog, made the beds and hoovered. Not bad going it's not 11am yet.

The problem with your job is that the long term security is questionable. [smilie=a_disconcerted.gif] Over the years the 'job' tends to gradually move away from you and you become redundant and possibly even a liability! There is also rarely an adequate pension plan. :o(

As for the long term, as my children are now becoming parents themselves and returning to work I now look after the grand children. My own youngest is still only 13 so at home for at least another 5 years or so.
Don't think I will ever be redundant as will always have the big kid (sorry husband) to care for.
Pension plan, was clever enough to take out a private one as well as having the state one (whoopy do) so should be ok there.
As for the liability bit my kids assure me that if it ever comes to it they will not hesitate to stick me in a home (now there's gratitude for you)
