:o( oooo I hope not - where is my lovely VFR! Don't like the big 'scooter' looking bikes - think Honda need a large sports bike to replace the Blackbird which was so popular. The RR is a great bike but not suitable for anyone who is tall or larger

If that little bird was MCN, I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you ;o)
They've been predicting the V5 FireBlade for years.

Why would Honda make a VFR1000 when they have the 800?
They'd be competing with each other for the same market share.
If they dropped the 800 there'd be a big gap in the range.

I would expect a really fast (a ZZR1400 & Busa eater) sports tourer.
That way they wouldn't compete directly with the Blade or Pan, but still offer a magnificent machine.

But what do I know  I'll have to wait just like everyone else :o)

I was told that there was a replacement for the CBR1100 in the pipeline. The source wouldn't be more specific about engine configuration or other details though.

Reckon they desperately need a replacement for the Blackbird :o( - a lot of my mates are quite tall and even my VFR is too short and uncomfortable for them - they need to produce a sports bike suitable for tall guys :P . (I know that is funny coming from a little shortie like me :o? but I like to see they have something for everyone!)
