CBR600RR 2007

CBR600RR 2007

Postby Chimp Boy on Tue Jan 23, 2007 5:40 pm

Went and had a sit on the new CBR600RR demonstrator today at my local dealers. Certainley felt light and flickable although I wasn't quite sure of the seat. It didn't feel all that comfortable but I was wearing jeans and not leathers. The riding position felt pretty similar to my NC30 so should be allright. It certainley looks the dogs though.

I'll book a test drive when the weather improves a bit and the demonstrator's got a few more miles on the clock.

Its supposed to be more 'track focused' that previous models so probably accounts for the lack of comfort and the lightness of it.

Go have a play on one, but be prepared to be heartbroken when you have to hand it back!

I've test ridden lots of bikes Wolfie but I can never justify the cost of a new plaything (as the wifes about to spend £35K on a car). I have ridden all sorts and it's good fun, saves racking up miles on my own bikes as well.

A couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon on a new bike with a full tank of petrol, who could ask for more.

Regards

Having ridden one of these myself more than once I have to say that they are absolutely stunning. Be prepared to not want to hand the keys back!

I couldn't wait to hand the keys back on mine!!(lasted 4 months before that!) You need to be under 5 ft 8 inches to ride one comfortably!!

I agree they are superb on performance and handleing!..not good for my back though!!!
Who Cares if it aint Broke!!..Fix it Anyway!!

Even from a pillion point of view, this bike is the dogs, insane handling, Phil nearly got his knee down with me on, let alone on his own, just hold on tight girls when they brake, as u'll be flung over the top if u don't. Extremely responsive braking as well. It is an awesome bike. 8) 8)

I own an 08 CBR and it is great i'm 5'7" and it is not too harsh on the back but a bugger on the bum after a couple of hours in the saddle, wouldn't change it though. I am new and i am just heading over to the intro page to say hello.

By the sounds of things my shortness may be a good thing for this bike haha!
Might arrange a test on this once I've done my test, this or the hornet I reckon.

I bought a CBR600RR7 and it was SUPERB!!!!! Wish I still had it. I'm 51yr old, 14stones and 5ft 11in. The bike was EXTREMELY comfortable, incredibly light and amazingly FAST!

I rode from Bolton down to Silverstone with one petrol break and when I got there, I felt like I could very easily have ridden back without a rest. What a great bike!

Go buy one without delay!
