That's what I've got, only mine's just swallowed it's camchain tensioner (ouch!)
I'm new here and not (yet) an H.O.C. member, but please don't hold that against me!
Are there any kind souls out there who can help me to get my 'bike back where it belongs, on the road?
I'm based in East Sussex and would welcome some moral support right now: a workshop manual would be even better!
Here's hoping...

hi and welcome , first thing is to register on this site
http://www.cb1100f.net/modules.php?name ... file=index

and make sure your location is filled in in your profile as its a site requirement ,, also dont tell them its a CBX just say its a CB as I think the motorrs are the same , and then surf away as its all about our engines
( i have a CB750f so i think they are the same ) but i may be wrong

when you say your tensioner went , did your chain go with it , if so then open the top of the engine up and get the head off , as its probably knackered some valves , I think a trip to ebay would be a good idea

Hi RSC

Unfortunately the engines are totally different. The CBX engine was a great improvement over the previous, first generation 16 valvers and didn't suffer as many cam chain problems (unfortunately yours has).
