Just acquired a 1979 cbx 1000z in red. Been in a museum since 1985 and un-started since 2000. So naturally exhaust mufflers shot but down pipes are ok, brake cylinders need rebuild/replacement and the interior of the petrol tank is well rusty. Oh and tyres in good nick but old so will replace those too. Any one knows where I can get these parts and others. I can get the tank refurbished professionally but not sure of where I can get the transfers on the tank, from. Any suggestions on what the carb situation might be and what carb cleaner I should use?Not that I am a “Forum T**T” but is there cbx 1000 forum?
