just an intro

Postby cat980 on Tue May 26, 2009 9:13 am

hello to all in forum.
i have just bought an old cbr1k fj in very nice restorable condition and so the first thing to do was get myself on a related forum quick as.
have owned various hondas in the past(africatwin,9blade,cbr6,cbs all sizes, etc) but have always joined model specific forums, however these were newer bikes and the relative forums abundant.not so the jellymold :)
i will eventually get hoc membership, just that ive bin laid off recently n dole doesnt go far im afraid and camchain/bodyparts etc are foremost in my mind for the cbr.
anyway enuff rambling.
cheers.

Welcome to the forum from me. There are a few CBR1000 owners in the HOC and on this forum so I'm sure you will find some useful advice.

Hi and welcome - good luck with the job hunting..........know what you mean about the expense of petrol - even on a bike! Seems to be creeping up all the time.

Welcome to the forum, cat !

Yeah, we all feel the crunch day by day - but, hey, as long as we can afford to keep the bike it´s not too bad ! ;o)
At least we´ve got the feeling of freedom and enough of fresh air to keep us healthy. :o))

We are exactly in the same situation .Only we don´t own a house but live in a rented property.Since we´re a married couple we don´t fit into any benefit scheme but my 18-hours-per-week-job doesn´t feed us ,either. Not being able to keep up with the rent payments we are probably losing our house soon. The landlady is still trying to avoid it, she´s a friend of ours.We are now paying what we can but there´s no money left for food at all.So we go busking - aren´t we lucky - as musicians you always have the chance to make a few bucks.
But my motto is :
" Turn your face to the sun and the shadows will fall behind you. "
Witch is positive that one day a job will come up for him again.
I wish you luck, cat, try to think postive and eventually things will get better !

thanks maid, words of encouragement are always well received :)
ive been packing n lightening my personal collection of junk and am going to move wherever in the country theres work going.
im sort of lucky in being single i spose, able to uproot and travel somewhere else, and unlucky in being an age where employers are reticent of employing older peeps.
im sort of hoping ive got an unknown granny somewhere whos got me in her will.or i get adopted by a millionairess widow one day soon.lol.
