A belated hello!

Postby simmo61 on Sun May 31, 2009 9:22 pm

Bit of a late starter me!

Did the field bikes thing & got terrified on my first pillion experience (on a CD175....!) at 15; had all the glossy brochures at 16 but never did get that Fizzie; did some trials (must apologise for that practice ride through the neighbour's fence...) riding & then at 23 just like my attempts at most sections it all came to a grinding halt.

But then the mid-life crisis (what crisis?) comes to my rescue - do the DAS, buy a Buell, 18 months later I've ridden California on a Glide!

Wave good bye to the Buell in Spetember '08 & within 4 weeks I'm the proud owner of a new A8 VTEC...4K (s)miles so far including a glorious 320 bimble through Wensleydale to Windermere yesterday & I'm so pleased that first experience of a Honda wasn't my last...and now I've finally got round to saying hello...

California on a Glide sounds great. Thats about the only time i would consider a Harley. As they say, horses for courses, and if the course was California my horse would be a Hog......................I think i'd better do some lines for thinking about a Harley. :o))
I must not imagine myself having an enjoyable ride on a Harley, with a tassel jacket and leather chaps.
