Anyone got any ideas what the best engine paint is ??
The paint on my cb750kz will need re-doing at some point in time

I have never really bothered with fancy specialist paints for crankcases, (there are some available, PJ1 springs to mind). The only time I have used very high temperature paint is when I'm working on exhausts.
The silver Hammerite Smooth that Stritchy mentioned is very good and available in spray cans. I have also painted iron barrels with black smooth paint by hand without problems.

You can get high temp engine paint from halfords, but hamerite is as good as anything
