I have a 1969 C50 Cub, fully restored, and would love to have a small light (LED or ordinary bulb) that comes on when I turn on the ignition but goes out whenever there's more going IN to the battery than is coming OUT of it. In other words, the light would glow whenever the battery is discharging (i.e. not being charged) a bit like the ignition warning light fitted to cars. Does anyone have any ideas an how this might be achieved? Ideally I would like to use minimum components (e.g. a red LED, a resistor and maybe a diode) and be informed where to make the necessary connections. Thanks to all who bend their mind to this problem and take the trouble to reply.
