Fitting CB750KZ Engine with VB52B Carbs - is it possible

Postby piscatorial on Mon Jun 01, 2009 11:52 am

Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum, also new to owning a Honda, which is a 1979 CB750FZ in a 1979 CB750F/CB900F Chassis SC01, with what appears to be a KZ engine RC1OE. My question is regarding the the carbs. I have managed to pick up a set of carbs on ebay which are marked as VB52B's, this model of carb has the accelerator pump. Is it possible to fit these carbs to the KZ, the dimensions appear to be the same, and the jet's appear to be the same.

thanks in advance.

Hi,

Cheers, most helpfull.

I actually have two spare sets that I picked up from ebay... 30 quid. The 52's are grotty but after a cleanup should be ok. Also have a set of 42B's, which are like new externally, but internaly were gummed up with what smells like burnt oil and jellified petrol. after a good clean they are now splnky, so i think i shall be going with these.

Regards
