Hi all,

Got another problem, cleaned out the carbs thoroughly and noticed the reason No2 is still flooding, the brass overflow pipe that pushes up through the float bowl has rotted. I first noticed a few pit marks on it then under closer inspection with a magnifying glass noticed it was perished. I have considered pushing out and fitting another, (if obtainable), but suspect a new float bowl is req'd.

Does anyone have a spare one out there for a CB750F! (76)?

There are a couple of members on http://www.sohc4.net/forums that have repaired broken overflow pipes. If I recall, they used a short length of heat shrink or tight rubber pipe and fitted it over the brass tube. All you have to do is make a petrol-tight seal.

Try it - cheaper than buying a replacement.
