The Old Smithy - Monyash near Bakewell Derbyshire

The Old Smithy Tea Rooms on the village green at Monyash. (B 5055 from Bakewell). Famous locally, for their brews, breakfasts and friendly welcome.
Bikers are welcome – nay encouraged.
Often many bikes there and a regular haunt for village characters so lots of interesting local banter.

6 of us from the Three Shires on 3 bikes had a ride out into Derbyshire on New Years Day and stopped for refreshments at The Old Smithy in Monyash. A very nice place indeed with decent sized pots of tea or coffee and plenty of bacon in their samdwiches. I would image it gets very busy with people in the summer
My mid-life crisis is still going strong,
I fear when it ends I’ll become a gardener…
