Bike (and Biker) Freindly B&B Required

Postby Chimp Boy on Mon Jul 21, 2008 7:26 pm

Hi Everyone

I am planning to go to the the Mega Honda Event at Gaydon again this year and also the Northants and MK Charity Day again. However this year they fall on consecutive days.

So what I am looking for is a bike friendly B&B near the Ten O'Clock preferably with safe/secure parking for the Saturday night?

Is this possible or am I asking a lot?

I don't want to ride all the way to Gaydon, then back home and then ride all the way to Little Harrowden the next day as it will be a lot of extra miles on not a very comfortable bike (I'll use my VFR400R not a Monkey Bike :o) ).

Any suggestions?

Regards

Chimpy

Well, you are welcome to crash at my place if you want - it's 10 miles from the 10 o'clock and I have a space behind some gates where the bike can be locked away (and the gates blocked at night by my car).

I'm going to both events too - (but in my car as I have to cart all the regalia around).

As long as you can cope with a very cramped single bedroom and an over zealous lurcher-type mutt and a soppy ginger cat (and a 19yr old daughter) then you are very welcome.

In fact, if there are others who have a similar dilemma they are also welcome but you will have to squabble over who gets the sofa or the airbed on a sunlounger!

I could always cut the grass and put up my tent and offer space to another couple too... anyway... the offer is there and you (and anyone else) will be very welcome.

Hiya Wolfie...

Having been a member of the HOC for, flippin heck, almost 20 years now... it's pretty easy to make such offers of hospitality (although grass cutting does push the boundaries a tad!!! ;) )

Over the years I have met and made so many wonderful friends who have similarly extended invitations.

I see the HOC as a big family really. You get on most of the time, support one another, learn from one another, help one another, eat together, share, and have fun together. :D
