HOC Shop

Postby Stritchy on Fri Jun 20, 2008 9:39 pm

I'm pleased to announce that the HOC Shop is now on-line and ready to sell HOC branded goods. :o))

Whisky glasses, knitted hat, travel mug, ceramic mug, enamel tag, enamel badge and standard or skinny fit T-shirts can all be purchased using PayPal or a credit card. It's easy and safe. :o0
These are exactly the same prices that people will pay in Golden Wing. 8)

Please take a look http://www.hoc.org.uk/HOCshop

Interesting that people go on about polo shirts. When we had them they were not selling and we virtually had to give away the last of them. When asked repeatedly what members wanted they were not high on the list. I like them but they are expensive and that seems to be the stumbling block. People want Polo shirts at T shirt prices.

Question:- How much will you pay for a Polo shirt if there was one available?

Thats probably the problem Andy!...people remember when you were giving them away!! :o)

...I think £7 - £10 is about the limit myself.....Cant remember how much I paid for the last one I bought but recall it to be around that ! 8)

Polo shirts were £12 in 1996!

The problem has always been getting quantity discounts and not ending up with loads of unsellable stock :o(

I'm sure that Jennie will look into it :o))

Was there a poll? I must have missed that.

The going price. If I paid £12 in 1996, which I guess I must have as mine is showing its age now, I'd be prepared to pay more now.

There was a questionnaire on the website and in Golden Wing, in 2005, where the question was asked.

As the Regalia sec/ coordinator etc... I'm happy to look at ideas and suggestions, 8) however, it does depend on the level of interest.

I prefer polo shirts too, however, historically they don't sell and we got stuck with loads. :o(

That said... if demand is sufficient then it's something I may be happy to propose to the management committee.. so... here's the deal...

If you would like HOC Polo shirts then I need to hear from you, and I need to know what you consider to be an acceptable cost. (Please note, we do not rip members off with our regalia - it is very competitively priced but also ensures that the club does not make a loss - I think that's both responsible and fair). With the membership we have and the numbers online, hopefully I should get a fair idea within the next couple of months of the demand.

Needless to say, I am already investigating costs etc., of polo shirts and other ideas that have been mooted (sp) :D but I'm not going to be reckless with club funds... if they ain't a viable option, then I won't be getting 'em in .. ;) Fair enough? :o))
