I'm hoping to get time off for good behaviour and be allowed out to play tomorrow. However, when I said I should make the 4th September meeting, apparently I should have listened to the little voice in my head which informed me....."That date rings a bell"

Wifey was not too impressed when I said we were going to a meeting at Oxford.
Not the most romantic place to spend our 3rd wedding anniversary. Whoops

Oh well, back into my kennel................. :(

Well well well. Turns out Wifey was a little hasty chastising me for forgetting said Wedding Anniversary because she has a rehearsal for a show she is in. :)

I can come out to play next Tuesday :D :D :D :D .

See you there

EricaVFR wrote:We meet on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month at the Foxcombe Lodge, Boars Hill, Oxford - Just off the A34. We have lively meetings with about 20-30 folk there, sometimes we have presentations from different companies and organisations, sometimes just social chat nights. We have a buffett and the odd cash raffle. We have regular ride outs from March to November and lots of social events. Have a look at our web site http://www.oxfordhoc.co.uk to find out the latest information of what is going on, find the location and contact details! Look forward to seeing/hearing from anyone who is interested.

:o)) Good to see four of the guys from the Worcester Branch at our Tuesday meeting, I think its great when the branches inter mix ..............the guys were particulary welcome as they were bearing gifts (i.e. Cadbury's cream eggs!) No but seriously, must definitely plan in a ride/events with other branches next year. Infact, I think we need a return skittles match with Glos/Wilts/Bristol and must include you guys from Worc. Keep up the good work! ;o)

Good idea Erica! The skittles evening was fun, such a shame so few Bristol members came. (Three members, the rest were friends or relatives I think.) If we went to the same place, the food side of things will need to be improved though!
Perhaps we could try and arrange for at least one of next year's Sunday ride-outs so that we eventually meet up at the same place, even though we'll be coming from different directions. We'll have to get in touch on that one.

:P Excellent - we could all ride to a central pub - have a BBQ and skittles match on one of those long hazy lovely summer evenings (I can vaguely remember one this year I think!) - what month shall we go for - come on Wilts/Glos/Reading and any others?

Better be a summer do, as it was a bit chilly last February, and who wants to be standing outside cooking on a frosty night? Also, who actually went to our skittles match by bike? I know it was dry, but...........

I'm meeting up with our committee on Saturday so I shall put the idea to them but I think its something SOME of our Wilts lot would be interested in joining - depending where it turns out to be, maybe a local B&B?
