HOC Worcestershire and West Mids

Postby KnightVeffer on Thu Jun 05, 2008 11:42 pm

Hi All just thought you might like to know that on the Thursday 26th June will be the very first meeting of The Worcestershire and West Mids Branch at the Wrens Nest Pub on the Sourport Road in Kidderminster @ 8pm
Contact for the branch is Brian Capewell a new member himself who can be contacted on 01562 744968 or email bcapewell@mac.com

Of course we would like very much for this to be a very active and popular branch, but we can't do it without support from you guys out there who live in the area and want to join in the fun and frolics

So come along and see, you never know you just might enjoy yourself :o))

Good luck with the new Branch guys.

There's a link to the Wren pubs map on the HOC home page http://www.hoc.org.uk so there's no excuse not to know where it is :o))

Congratulations on setting up a new branch, hope it all goes well and you get the support.

Unfortunately not my neck of the woods.

Big thanks Andy hopefully we should get a good turn out as Brian and I have been talking to all our biker pals about the club and promoting the new branch 8)

I understand that we can not use Worcestershire and West Mids due to problems and possible confussion with other branches in the area.

I have met up with Brian over a cuppa and I think we might go with Severn Valley :P

As there are no other branches in that area it would be cofusing to who?

Nearest are Gloucester who are called strangely Gloucester and Birmingham who are in Sutton Coldfield the other side of Birmingham and called Birmingham.

Severn Valley is great as that is what the old branch that covered the area were called.

See you tomorrow.

Well done Brian and co. 10 at the first meeting despite the crappy weather and a couple who notified us of not being able to get there that night. The pub say that for your next meeting they will sort some food out.

Just for any other new readers the Worcestershire branch of the HOC will be meeting every other Tuesday now from the 8th of July onwards.

Thanks Dibble it was a good turn out for our first meeting Myself and Brian had visions of just us sitting in the pub sharing a pint and a packet of Salt and Vinegar crisps

But our fears were unfounded and all who turned up was made most welcome by us and Dibble who also turned up to give the kind of support we needed at this stage of a new branch.

We also decided several things,
1 We will meet every other Tuesday at the Wrens Nest pub, Starting from the 8th July [smilie=a_yumdumdoodledum.gif]
2 We will be called the Worcestershire HOC 8)
3 We will organise some ride outs, some of which will be on meeting nights if fine and dry ;o)
4 I will be producing the News letter and be web master unless some one comes along who is better than me
5 Brian is to be the general Secretary :P
6 The run to Cadbury World (Chocolate Heaven) is a goer

All in all a good night can't wait till the 8th :o))

If you fancy coming along then please feel free to join us @8 pm on the 8th July, The Wrens Nest Pub which is on the Stourport Road, Kidderminster Road. If its a dry evening we may just go for a ride to a hostlery in Bridgenorth have a chat, share a Coke or 2 then ride back to Kiddy or home. :o)

Hopefully should get web site up and running before then and so I'll post any future rides, events dates etc there for all to see.

Just a quick reminder that we are meeting tonight at The Wrens Nest pub @ 7.30 pm and it looks like it'll be dry, so rideout to Bridgenorth is on. Wheels turning 8.00 pm sharp.

Come along for the ride if you're free and fancy a chat 8)

Hi Kwak

Is the trip to Cadburys still looking good for September 14th? I am salivating at the very thought of it!! (Might have to starve for the week leading up to it so I can be a mega pig on the day! ;) )
