Yes and no :o?

Yes: All publicity is good publicity
No: They can't advertise something with the HOC logo if we haven't been involved.

However, they are still keen to possibly offer discount and do things with the Club 8)

Looks interesting, never been to a track day; I assume it could be a costly event if the bike takes a tumble as insurance clearly states "not covered for track days".

So what are the additional costs involved in these things? Assume petrol is readily available? (What is there top up surcharge?!?!?)

Can you get insured specifically for a track day? Notice instructors are on hand to get help you get the most out of your bike. I think I would be more interested in this as i've never been on one. Looks fab, information wanted!

Thanks

You will be happy to hear that Focussed Events are offering this event to HOC members at a special discounted rate of £85 :o)) 8)
All you have to do is quote your HOC membership number when booking.

Hopefully this kind of offer will be extended to all of their events in the future.

Well, after all the fun and games  , did anyone else go to the track day at Donnington?

The conditions were changeable, but it was a fantastic day all the same. I did see a really nice 400/4 in very fetching Yellow. He seemed to be enjoying himself.

Here's a couple of pictures of my NS having some fun. It's in disguise, as I didn't want to risk damaging any of my road going bodywork.

You'd have been in your element Chimpy, you should have come along. There were plenty of big bikes to "play" with..

By the end of the day, I'd started wearing out other bits of kit too

Thing is Mark, I'm far too competitive and would have pushed my bike to the point of dropping it. Now the problem is I'm getting to old for falling off bikes and I don't bounce like I used to. I also think I've had more than my fair share of lucky escapes and don't want to take the mick as the odds must be against me by now.

Mark,
Can you send your pictures to Tim the editor of Golden Wing. He wants pictures of members on their bikes and these are good pictures.

Hi Mark, well done for getting the NS on track! I haven't been on here for ages, and would have come too if I'd realised. I rode at Donington on the GP track the weekend immediately after you were there (not on a Honda).
